What is Botulinum Toxin [ Botox / Dysport / Azzalure ]?
It is a complex protein produced by the anaerobic bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Discovered in 1895, botulinum toxin type A was isolated in purified form in the 1920s. We use if for migraine and excessive sweating also.
Can botox treat all wrinkles?
It is used to rejuvenate dynamic wrinkles and cannot improve face wrinkles cause by sun damage and volume loss. It cannot improve sagging skin either. We have other treatments available for these.

Does botox make wrinkles worse once it wears off?
No, quite the reverse, it has been called 'the hibernation treatment' The Hibernation treatment is a preventative treatment.The aim is to break the habits that cause our facial lines to form. this should soften your face and make you look younger.
Will I lose expression?
No, you can express as normal but lines will look less obvious.
Who should not have botox / dysport/ azzlure wrinkle relaxing injections ?
It should not be used in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation. Patients with neurological disorders such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome. Patients on aminoglycoside antibiotics or other agents interfering with neuromuscular transmission. Not recommended during pregnancy or breast feeding.

Yes, we offer a consultation prior to injections so that you can make an informed decision about the treatment.

Is botox painful?
No. We have several techniques to minimise discomfort.
How long does the botox effect last?
It varies from person to person and how many times you have had it. It may range from to 2 to 6 months. Most patients experience that it lasts longer after first few treatments.
Do you offer a follow up after botox treatments?
Yes, our prices include a follow-up consultation and touch-up injection, if required in 2-3 weeks time.
How much do you charge for botox / dysport/ azzalure ?
Treatment prices depend on areas treated, dose and desired effects. Commonly treated areas are-'forehead worry lines', 'frown lines between eyebrows' and 'crow's feet around eyes'. We can also inject under eyes, 'bunny lines' around the nose and areas on lower face, lips, mouth, chin, neck and chest. Prices starts from £300 for facial or neck treatments. We offer customised treatments and individual prices quotations are only provided after a medical consultation.

Yes, cheap botox treatments are available but you must ask some questions.
1] Are you being treated with a genuine product? There are counterfeit injections available and there have been case reports of serious harm resulting from their use. It is not worth risking your health to save money. There are more than 100 different products available today. We only ever use safe, research based products which are not the cheapest.
2] Do I have a come back if things go wrong? Do they offer a free follow up if results are poor or asymmetric and can they rectify the situation? We offer continuity of care and look after you very well.
3] How long will the results last? [Dilute botox will not last]
